Grey's Anatomy

I finished watching the first season of Grey's Anatomy this week. Oh my gosh! I am so completely hooked! It is a fantastic show. And once you watch an episode, you just want to watch the next one. It took me 2 days to watch the first full season of 9 episodes. I started to watch and then I couldn't stop myself - I just kept going and going and going...and the next thing I knew, the season was over. That's the thing about buying sets on DVD - they become very addictive because you have every episode at your fingertips.

The show reminds me a lot of ER when it first started airing over 10 years ago. I really liked that show as well. But I think I enjoy Grey's Anatomy so much more. The characters are so unique and the show is so well written. You get more of a glimpse of each character's personal lives, something that I felt was always missing on ER. I mean, it took forever before we found out about the relationship between Dr. Ross and Nurse Hathaway. And it also took some time before we knew that Dr. Carter was rich. This is simply not the case in Grey's Anatomy.

In case you have been living under a rock and haven't heard of the show yet, here is a summary I found on the internet that explains what the show is about: Grey's Anatomy is a drama about the intensity of medical training mixed with the funny, sexy, and sometimes painful lives of people who are about to discover that neither medicine nor relationships can be defined in black and white. Real life only comes in shades of grey.

Plus, you get to watch Dr McDreamy!!!! Brings me back to the days of "Can't Buy Me Love" ;)
I have still to watch an entire season, but I keep catching episodes here and there...so far, so good. Now I need to watch them all from the beginning. I may be borrowing that first season from you...
